Speech-Language Pathologist

Jihan Everett, M.S. CCC-SLP

I am a dedicated speech-language pathologist with a strong educational foundation, having earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the illustrious Howard University. As a board-certified ASHA professional, I specialize in pediatric speech-language therapy, with increased expertise working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). My commitment to professional development is evident through specialized training, including knowledge in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods like PECS, as well as being Hanen Centre trained.

My treatment approach is individualized, blending versatility and functionality. I prioritize incorporating the passions, desires, and needs of both clients and their families to ensure therapy is not only effective but also enjoyable. I celebrate small victories as crucial stepping stones toward achieving overarching communication goals. With experience across diverse settings – including homes, schools, private practices, and virtual platforms – I’ve effectively treated various communication disorders, including expressive and receptive language, fluency, social skills, and articulation. I firmly believe that growth and communication development are ongoing journeys that require constant effort, support, and learning. Embracing obstacles as opportunities, I guide clients through challenges, recognizing that overcoming hurdles ultimately shapes our greatest victories.
